Glucophage is important for treating PCOS, regardless of whether you're TTC or not! If your current physicians aren't doing anything for you (I only say this because the way you talk it sounds like they diagnosed you and left you at that) you definitely need to find new ones. There are a lot of treatment options and it's very important to treat PCOS to reduce your risk of further complications!

Absolutely try the Glucophage before moving on to fertility treatments. It's incredibly effective, relatively cheap, and you probably should be on it anyway for the PCOS. If you do choose to move on to fertility treatment after giving it a try, it will make any fertility treatment you undergo much more effecttive. HTH!
