Glucophage and fertilityFrom: Savannah (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 22 Apr 2003 14:59:12 -0500 (CDT)
Hi everyone, I am new to these boards and am excited to have found them! I have had PCOS for YEARS and was only diagnosed last year. During my marriage, I never used birth control and even tried clomid for 3 mnoths, which only resulted in more cysts! I do have an 11 year old son, so I know I have a chance (I hope!). Here's my question: my partner and I want very badly to have a baby. We were all prepared to mortgage the house and get fertility treatments that will probably cost 20k. I am reading about glucophage and am wondering if I shouldn't try that first. If it can stimulate ovulation, then it's possible I could get pregnant, correct? Has anyone gotten pregnant while one glucophage? Thanks, Savannah
