Hey Nik!

I am definately for low carbing. I have lost 50 pounds. I still eat low carb, but I can eat a bit more now to maintain the weightloss. I started out eating less than 50 carbs a day. I made sure that they were good carbs, not empty ones like from sugar. I do eat some whole grain cereal. I love Kashi, it is a seven grain cereal and some of the varieties have absolutely no sugar. Now I can eat about 100 carbs a day. I still stay totally away from sugar. No molasses, cane sugar or honey for me! I eat a lot of vegetables and some fruit. A lot of cheese and dairy and meat. I don't count my calories, not good at it anyway. I also don't pay any attention to fat, except I make sure things have good fat and no transfatty acids or hydrogynated fats. It is not an easy lifestyle, but it works, not just to take the weight off, but to make you feel great! I hope this helps you!
