Hi I've just found this site while looking for info on PCOS. I was diagnosed 12 years ago when undergoing test for infertillity but was told nothing about the other related problems and it's only in recent months that I have found out what some of them are. I went to my GP but all he was willing to do was refer me to a dietician (when I mentioned diabetes, heart problems, etc. he told me not to believe everything I read) When I saw the dietician I was told to cut down on butter and fizzy juice but that a low carb diet wouldn't make any difference. Nothing has been metioned about medication or any other way in which I can help myself. I also asked about any form of alternative therapy but basically was left feeling that I had just wasted everyones time. I feel there is loads more that I want to ask and say but I don't know where to start. I also want to go back to my GP but this time having a better idea of what tests and types of treatments I should be asking to be considered for. I'b better go as I can feel myself beginning to garble. Thanks 'Chelle
