Re: PCOS - 1st visit to endo coming up

She doesn't seem to think all of my problems will go away unless I get a
complete hysterectomy. We're going to do a 6 month lupron treatment to
get control of the endometriosis, which they found on my Uretar and
weren't able to remove during the hysteroscopy. I'm planning to try a
low carb diet (as you advised), as well as exercise, during the lupron
treatment. My insulin levels were within range, so I'm not sure that
Metformin is an option... unless they prescribe that to patients
without insulin problems (?).
Do you know what I should expect at my first endochrinologist
appointment? I've already had a cbc, intra-uterine ultrasound, complete
glucose test with insulin, some hormone test, cholesterol, hysteroscopy
and laproscopy. Will there be extensive tests? More ultra sounds or a
pelvic exam?
