Hi Sonnet,

Thank you for your response. This does give me something to think about and I will be researching the progesterone issue further.

I am hoping that my new OB/GYN will be more knowledgeable about PCOS and will be willing to look at alternatives to the BCPs. I really do not want to take them anymore! There are far too many risks involved in taking the "pill". Not to mention all the side effects I've been noticing - like the insomnia, mood swings, major PMS, etc. It isn't worth it and I know it doesn't fix the problem at the core. That is the one MAJOR thing that I have learned here from you and all the others. At least now I know what to ask for and talk to my doctors about.

Thanks again,

Dawn
