Hi there Basically PCOS is a hormone imbalance which in turn can have an impact on weight, excess hair, irregular periods etc. There are different things you can do to help (although not cure) each symptom. See what your doctor suggests and have a look through the archives on here, just type in a subject and off you go. I have spent the last 2 days doing this and although I have been diagnosed for 3 years I have learnt a few new things. There are also several books which a quite good to give you some help. Also a lot of people do manage to have children and there are different things you can do and medication that will help. Good luck Angie
