Re: help me pleaseFrom: Carol (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 10 Apr 2003 10:35:31 -0500 (CDT)
Hi there I was diagnosed with PCOS 3 years ago, and at the time I didn't understand the full effect that it could have on my life. With reference to the baby issue, it is possible to have children with pcos, as long as you are still ovulating, although it can be a difficult process. I havent got kids but hope to in the future, and I believe that the best course of action is to lose weight - this is often the most present feature of PCOS. I can't help you to understand how PCOS works as I still don't understand it myself. I can tell you that there is support out there andd you're not the only person to suffer with this thing. I quite often feel very alone, but I come on here and it helps to see that I'm not alone. Hang in there, do some research, you won't read all good stuff, but there are lots of sites which can tell you how you can help yourself. Love
