I have never taken bcp's for birth control.  The doc had me on them so I'd cycle regularly.  Alesse was the only one that seemed to work for me, but she had to take me off of them after a while, and go to Provera, because the Alesse made my bp go up some.  I have never had anything but totally normal #'s on my bp.  So she decided that it was the bcp's and took me off of them.  My bp returned to normal and she put me on provera.  My bp is fine on Provera.  That was the only problem that I had with it though.
