It controlled my periods and slowed the excess hair growth I was getting. Over the last 10 months my periods are lasting for 10 days and have become erratic again, I have also gained weight I'm now 270lb. My doctor has spoken to the clinic I am being seen by and they want to take me off dianette and start me on Metformin. Does anyone have any experience of this drug and what are the benefits, my appt is in June so I want to find out as much as I can before I attend. Also did anyone who is on Metformin have hormone tests before and during taking Metformin and was there any significant change.
