LOL, not a dumb question at all! As someone who moved back and forth between Australia and the US I was *always* puzzling over my cookbooks!

125g = 4oz = 1/4lb. I know that for sure :) So I would say, if it was me cooking, that 100g is about 1/3 cup, maybe a little more. I would think that with a recipe like that, it wouldn't matter so much anyway - if you use too much, you'll just have a nuttier cake! Sounds good BTW!
