Mucus without ovulation?!?From: Christy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 31 Mar 2003 14:20:08 -0600 (CST)
I know it is possible to have a period without ovulating, but is it possible to have mucus and not ovulate. I have been on metformin for 4 months and I have gotten 3 periods, each 26 to 28 days apart. This month at the time I was suppose to ovulate, I had mucus (wet and clear)but only a small amount and for one day. Before I was diagnosed with PCOS I was trying to use natural family planning, but my temps had serveral shifts so I only checked my mucus. I would like to know the progress of my meds, by seeing if I am ovulating. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there specific differences between fertile mucus during ovulation and non fertile mucus that comes at the time ovulation is suppose to be? thank you!
