Re: MY PCOS IS SO SEVERE FEEL ALONE!!!

Mine is not that severe, but it is severe enough to be concerned about not living a long life. I am 5'1", recently weighed 330 (which is a lot for my short frame). I am diabetic, my family has a history of heart problems, have sleep apnea, I've had no period for about 3 years now (may have gone through the change but am not sure since I am 47),receontly went trhough such a severe depression I even tried to kill myself, and I just have no energy. Recently I rejoined Weight Watchers and have lost 15 pounds. My history is that it will help for a little while and then I can't seem to lose any more, but I am trying again. I knew I had all the problems, but just recently a new ob-gyn I am seeing put a name to it -- PCOS. I have 3 children and one grandchild and want to live to see many more grandchildren. Hopefully with the diagnosis I am on the road to recovery -- and she can do something for me.

All I can say is, I really feel for you. Good luck, honey, and write if you want a PCOS penpal. And put your faith in the Lord. Pray with all your fervor. Give the problem to God! Let me know how it's going! God bless you. Laurie
