Starting and stopping BCP may confuse your body and might just restart a period at another time, it is better to just keep on with the schedule, your body might just need more time to get with the program. It's not that unusual to have a really heavy period when you haven't had them regularly, it may also go a little longer. So try to keep with it. Also the pressure you feel could be from gas and the mild constipation, caused by getting a little dehydrated from the fluid lost with bleeding, and also the uterus cramping can put pressure on other nerves and muscles too. Drink lots of extra water, eat salads and veggies, especially greens, and especially while bleeding, it might help and won't hurt in the weight loss area. Try keeping on the BCP's schedule and give your body time. Also do talk to your doctor about a anti-depressant or anxiety medicine, at least until everything settles a little more for you, it can make an amazing difference. Good luck and hang in there!
