Hi - I had my first endometrial biopsy on 3/25/03. I had lots of fear because I was raped 25 years ago, and anything new in the female area truly frightens me. It was, in fact, very painful. But - it did only last for a minute, I only spotted a bit afterwards, though they gave me a pad just in case. I'm thinking that the doctor may have hit one of my fibroid tumors, which would surely explain the pain. I'm scheduled for a hysterectomy on June 5th, because of the pain of the tumors. Try not to worry. You may get weak in the knees for a day or two, but that should be the worst of it. There was a nurse in there with me when the doctor performed it. She was calming. They say the results should take under a week to get... I'm still waiting. Good luck to you..... -Renee
