Re: UltrasoundsFrom: GoldenEagle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 27 Mar 2003 11:22:45 -0700
Greetings I actually did not have to have a full bladder for the ultrasounds. Since I was having both the abdominal and transvaginal, I had to fast after midnight - nothing to eat or drink the morning of. It actually turned out to be a good thing that my bladder was so empty since the technician had discovered one of those "incidentals" involving one of my kidneys... I have had problems with kidney stones for several years now, and was not surprised he found a bunch of bigger ones in my kidney. The problem is that it is a bit backed up, so there is a partial blockage somewhere. He hovered over my bladder for awhile to watch for "squirts" from each kidney. During the 3 minutes he did that, the left kidney drained 3 times and the right only once... so just one more thing to worry about.... won't know anything about the transvaginal ultrasound or anything else until Monday now.. at least he told me what he could... :( Dawn
