Lisah-
I just read your post and can totally relate! I have attempted Met
several times over the past 2 years and had horrible side effects (GI
stuff). However, with some advise from other cycsters I started VERY
slowly and made sure that I took it with a low carb foods. I am now up
to 1000mg/day (it has taken me 1 1/2 months), and aside from the
occassionaly upset stomach and bloating, I have done OK. I had to
increase my doses 250mg at a time, but I kept trying!! I have found that
particular foods (not all carbs) trigger worse symptoms than others. For
me, it is anything dairy (this makes it hard to get my calcium needs
met!) and simple sugars (desserts, chocolate, even jello!). A friend of
mine kept a food diary for a week to see if her symptoms changed with
certain foods - hers did too!
