Greetings,

I'm glad you brought this up as I have also been exploring this possibility for myself. Not necessarily to replace what my conventional doctors are doing, but to work along side with what they are doing. I do believe that is important at this point. Maybe later on down the road I will be able to get more away from the "drugs" and depend more on the acupuncture and energy work that my DO can do for me.

My partner has been seeing an acupuncturist for 16 years now. He has helped her sooooo much with her migraines, sciatica, and minor spinal problems that crop up from time to time from things getting out of alignment. Seeing how much he has helped her, I did give him a shot once when I had really bad, debilitating neck and shoulder pain. I went in hardly able to stand up straight and left feeling about 75% better. By the following morning I was about 90% better. Within 36 hours all pain was gone. Some things may take longer to be affected by acupuncture, so my case may be unique to the kind of situation I was in. For PCOS it could take several months of treatments..... or just a few... or maybe it won't work at all for some people.

My point? The important thing is to BE positive and THINK positive and always keep an open mind, not allowing expectations to take over. You may get several different kinds of responses from people here, good and bad. It's something you need to do for yourself and allow personal experience to be the final judge of whether or not acupuncture is YOUR key to finding relief from PCOS.

I believe it can work. But the important question is, do you believe? That's what really matters... Not what anyone else thinks based on experiences they had.... whether good or bad.

Take care,

Dawn
