Re: Big, bulky, muscular thighs

Jane, I'm so glad my post reached you and lifted you. I'm sorry if life hasn't treated you well of late. In any case, in addition to your beautiful features, I'm sure you still have much for which to be thankful.

Cassie, your confidence is inspiring. You've risen above the media's lie regarding men's preference for skinny women, and you've recognized your "assets" as a gift, not a curse. And yes, a big butt is also a boon. If only more women saw so clearly as you see. Unfortunately, socialization stacks the cards against them. My younger sister is flirting with several eating disorders right now. The problem is she has confused fitness with being thin. I am an amateur powerlifter, so I'm fit, but not skinny. I've tried to tell her one doesn't equate with the other, but she can't stop. Maybe I'll introduce her to a support group. She's seen her physician, but the visit didn't help. I'll be living with her next year in San Diego (english doctoral candidacy, I hope), but of course I can't watch her 24/7 (not that this would make a difference).

I'm sorry for the digression. Jane, I hope your outlook continues to improve, and Cassie, I admire your confidence.
