Hi Jane,

This guy is telling the truth. I also have muscular thighs and I have never had difficulty finding a partner (attractive ones too). My boyfriend is handsome as can be (not that he doesn't have his quirks and of course this isn't really important but I'm trying to point out that attractive men also find large thighs attractive). I was always so insecure about this but over the years I found to my surprise that when I asked someone what they found physically attractive about me they mentioned that they liked muscular legs (even more often they mentioned my big butt). All those years of cursing those extra pounds and they turned out to be a 'big' asset! (pardon the pun). I can tell you for sure that us women are far more critical than the men. We critique every single party of ourselves whereas men tend to look at the whole picture. Yes, some younger men can sometimes be a little shallow and say things that hurt but usually that is more about their own issues. Besides they tend to grow out of it. I think it is us women who are obsessed with comparing ourselves and living up to unrealistic standards. Of course, when weight is a health concern it is a different issue but if its not and you're just a little bit cuddlier than most then take heart - men like us cuddly - despite media attempts to the contrary. Anyway, thanks for having the courage to share your concern. And you gotta love that fellow for his response - made my day too!!

P.S. - Same goes for the extra hair - over the years I've found that it really is not a big deal to most men so let's cut ourselves some slack, hmmmm!

I just want to say thanks, you made my year as sad as that sounds. Have >a nice day.
