WOW, your doctor sounds like a real jerk! I get so angry about the way some doctors treat people, grrrrr!!

OK first of all, you're probably NOT infertile unless you have some other reason that would prevent you from getting pregnant. And yes you're at higher risk for some diseases but treating your PCOS really lessens that risk! It's an icky disease to have, but it also can be managed. Your life doesn't have to be over or anything :)

PCOSA Canada has a list of their chapters at http://www.canada.pcosupport.org/canadianchapters.htm and I believe there is one in BC, which might help!

I'm really glad you came to this board, hopefully here you'll find a lot more information and support than you're getting from the medical community! Take care -
