Hi, I have been diagnosed with pcos for about a year now, amenorrhea for about a year, hirsitism for about a year, and hypothyroidism for about 5-7 years. I was told that I have had all of these since pubirty except hyporthyroidism. I started my first menstration at the age of 9. I never had a regular menstration and when I did get them I would bleed extremely heavy for about 2-6 weeks (very painful). I have had many painful cysts on my ovaries since the start of my menstration as. Now that my pain is getting worse and worse my body is overwhelmed. The many symptoms I have had are acne, pelvic pressure, lower abominal pain, swollen abdominal (bloating), shortness of breath, rapid heart beat, gas, bloating (gastrointestinal discomfort), hair growth (facial, abdominal, etc.), sharp adominal pain, continuous dull aching of body, feeling of being full even when I eat a small meal, loss of appetite, nausea, weight fluctuation, frequent urination (spotting even more than usual), constipation, pain during sexual intercourse, dizzy, constant head aches, irregular menstration (skip upto 8-12 months), when I do get menstration can last up to 2-6 weeks (when I am not on the pill), when I am on the pill my menstration will last 7-12 days. My new doctor has sent me to get some ultra sounds done and some of the things that have been noticed is enlarged ovaries and fallopian tube, growth linning on ovaries and fallopian tube, many cyst on both ovaries that do not dissolve, looks as if I had not had my menstration in about a year when my last one was 2/28/03. Also I have had many blood work done and there is always something new that is on there. There was also other things noticed but she will be discussing them with me next week. Should I be worried? I have no ideas what she is looking for? I am in constant pain? Should I be prepared for something like cancer? I know my mother passed away from cancer. Her cancer was found to late so they were not able to determine where it originated from. Should that make me even more worried.
