Two possibilities off the top of my head:

Are you on any medications for high cholesterol?? you didn't mention any, but I thought I'd ask I had the lightheadedness with zocor and mevacor, but not with lipitor (even at the high doses).

Lightheadedness is often a symptom of blood pressure irregularities from what I gather...but you didn't mention anything like that either.
