Personal opinion here but I don't think there's any reason you SHOULD be
taking birth control. They can be useful and some women take them to
help manage the symptoms a little better, but they don't do anything for
the PCOS itself. So if you're not comfortable taking them, you
shouldn't have to! (It sounds like your OBGYN will disagree though and
since I'm not a doctor, oh well :P)
