Elevated AM Cortisol LevelsFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 2 Mar 2003 09:48:40 -0600 (CST)
Thank you once again for anyone who can help my daugher. My 18 year old daughter completed a 24 hour cortisol level check. The RE's nurse called and had us set up an appointment because she expressed a minor concern that her AM cortisol level was elevated. What would that indicate and is there a treatment for this? My daughter is currently excercising, eating low carb as best whe can because she is in a college cafeteria situation, and is on Yasmin and Glucophage. She has lowered her cholesterol, but currently has not been able to shed pounds or lower her triglycerides. Thanks for any info.
