I had done research on Gastric bypass and Lap Band procedure. I had looked at Pros and Cons for each. My opinion, Gastric had more Cons than Pros. I wanted Lap Band so bad. But my insurance company said it was experimental and would not be covered. Maybe your symptoms may be better from PCOS but you could have more complications from Gastric that having PCOS symptoms. I have 3 friends had the Gastric and they all 3 said, please do something else. Don’t do it. Then my mothers knew 2 people have it done and they died from the complications. I just felt it was not worth it. I am not telling you NOT to do it. But please do your research and talk to other people that have had it done. Ask your Dr for referrals. Do lots of research on it. If you must do surgery, try and look into Lap-Band. Since I could not get the Lap-band I started a Gym and in one month, I lost 5 inches. It’s not a regular gym. http://www.curvesforwomen.com I am sure there are some near you. They are popping up all over the place. I am 320 at 5’9 and there are women there bigger than me. Just please look into it. Thank you, Melissa
