I too believe balance is best. BJ, you are right that too high protein can cause bone loss! It is also VERY hard on the kidneys. I just eat a little bit higher protein and a little bit lower carb than the average person. And I also believe organic is a very good thing.

Sarah, if you feel uncomfortable with Atkins, try reading the book "Sugar Busters". It's a more balanced way of lowering your carbs.

Also, try to get on a medication such as glucophage, if carbs feel like a problem for you.
