Hello all!! Glad to have found this forum..ok here we go...

I had blood work done 2x's by two diff dr.'s who have said I didn't have PCOS. I've found this new dr. who seems soo great!! He really wants to help, but without even doing bloodwork he says he doesn't care that the blood work says I DON'T have it..he says "If it walks like a duck, it's a duck" lol The other dr.s just said that I don't have it..and that was it.. didn't try to help with all my symptoms!! Now this new dr. is starting me on Loestrin FE to start my periods, Glucophage to help w/weightloss and we're going to try Clomid in a few months to help w/ovulation and pg. Here's what I've been thru..

My period started at 12. Never had very many problems w/it growing up. But had my first miscarriage at 22. Then my periods just stopped. Dr. had me on Provera every three months to start it. I had another miscarriage at 23. (the first was a blighted ovum, the second mc the baby stopped growing at 2months) Still used Provera for periods. I got pg at 24 and had our baby boy 4 days after turning 25 :) (i had emergency c-section because my placenta abrupted, but our son was ok..thank God!) Still had to use Provera to have periods! Got pg again at 29 and had another MC! (blighted ovum AGAIN!) Well, since my last MC in 2001, My periods were actually coming w/no meds..every other month..but I was happy they were coming! I just went to my new dr. because I havent' had a period since OCT!!! :( It's FEB! Now, I'm so scared. Because I've read not to go longer than 3 months at a time, because of heightened risk of cancers. He did a Pap and it came back ok. I just started my BP 4 days ago, so waiting to see if my period will come in about 3 weeks. He said I can start my Glucophage next month, after my first period comes. Then we can try the Clomid when we are ready. We would love to have one more child. Then we're done. I don't have excessive facial hair. But do have many skin tags. (and just read that on the symptoms) I'm overweight by about 50 pounds. I'm only 4' 11" My main problem area is my stomach. I don't want to have PCOS, but am just so happy that somebody finally cares!! Has anyone else been told they have PCOS, w/out the blood work?? I'm hoping to get some insight on others experiences. Thanks so much in advance!
