I have always had regular periods. Always. Then after being off birth control for years and not conceiving we found out I was not ovulating. I discovered that I was not ovulating when I bought a Clearplan fertility monitor. It was confirmed with bloodwork and ultrasound. I was diagnosed with very mild PCOS. I began Glucophage. Still did not ovulate. Then added Clomid and over a year worked up to 100 mg of clomid. Although I did have a peak in my cycle, it was never what the doctor considered a "good" ovulation. EVERY month I had bloodwork and ultrasounds to see whether or not I was ovulating. Not fun!

We were not willing to do IVF so began the international adoption process. We leave next week to complete our adoption. I'm still on the glucophage, but don't care to ever do the clomid thing again. I was so moody on that medication and I know I was not easy to live with while on it.

Best of luck!
