Re: Clomid/GlucophageFrom: Anony (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 27 Feb 2003 08:26:50 -0600 (CST)
Hi Lisa, I'm so soryry for the loss of your daughter. I was on Clomid and Glucophage for almost a year. I started at 50 mg of Clomid and moved up to 150 mg of Clomid over the course of a year. I was taking 1500 MG of Glucopage. I was having regular periods (always have) but not ovulating. I have very mild PCOS. After a year on the medications, we were told I could no longer take the clomid. So IVF was our next option, which we weren't willing to consider. So we began the adoption process. We leave next week to complete our adoption. The only side effects I noticed being on both medications was that I was MUCH more moody than usual. And I had serious ovulation pains once I got on the higher doses of clomid. You may want to talk with your doctor about doing bloodwork and/or ultrasounds to verify that the clomid is "making" you ovulate. Best of luck!
