hello everyone!From: Dona (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 26 Feb 2003 21:43:14 -0600 (CST)
Hello Everyone, Sorry it's been so long since I posted. Time has been flying by.. but I have occasionally been reading the posts. WoW sounds like a baby boom going on which is wonderful. Congrats to all of those who are expecting and yes Glucophage does and can work if given enough time. Took it one year for it to really work for me. So far everything is going ok with me. I am 24 weeks now and was told my sugars are borderline so i have to start watching more closely what i am eating. My Doc took me off of Glucophage at 8 weeks gestation... so far so good. =)I am repeating my one hour GTT in 4 weeks to see if it is the same or worse. This seems to be a common problem with woman with PCOS... and my advanced age and being over wieght to begin with doesn't help eigther. One thing that has been interresting thru this so far was that I was told my PCOS symptoms would probably decrease or go away while pregnant. Well.. they haven't. My last ultrasound at 19 weeks showed multiple cysts on both overies still and I am still growing hair like crazy in those embarrasing places...ah...well. Take care everyone and good luck,Dona P.S. ...it's a girl =)
