My doctor put me on Glucophage when I wasn't trying to concieve, and if you are having good luck with your birth control, i don't know why he is changing that. I haven't dealt with birth control pills very much because i bleed all the time or don't bleed at all, so I can't really speak for them, but I would go get a 2nd opinion. If your intuition tells you different, listen to it and try to research it.
