Carrie,

Your posting almost made me cry, I can feel your frustration and sadness in it. First let me just say that I hope your Grandmother loves you and is worried about you being unhealthy because of the weight issue, and just didn't know how to say it right. Second, you should get your tyroid checked if you haven't already. You didn't tell us what kind of diet you have been following other than low in sugar, but I can tell you from personal experience that the "NORMAL" low fat 1200 calorie diet didn't work for me at all. I have been trying to stick to a low carb/sugar diet and have lost a few pounds (no where near my goal yet!) but better results than any other diet I have tried. I did notice when I was working out at the gym, I prefered the weights, that I tended to get bulky muscles. Maybe from too much male hormones? I'm not sure, and am wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Carrie I wish you the best, keep trying, and remember you are not alone! Dee
