Lisa, I have a period every month, majority of the time its on time. True you may not be able to start a clock with it. It may be ontime or maybe a few days early or late. They used to be REALLY heavy for years. Now they are medium. But my Dr. also says I don't ovulate. I think me having a period and not ovulating confuses me more than anything else. Sometimes I wish I didn't have a period if I couldn't produce an egg. I am on 2000mg of metaformin a day. No birth control at all and have not been able to concieve. Plus, my periods are so painful. Now they aren't unbearable pain. But I have to take high doses of Naprioxm Sodium, 500mg each. Sometimes I take a few of them and still doesn't help. But believe me you are not alone. Good luck!! Melissa
