A laparoscopy is a simple procedure. I have had one done. It is done as an outpatient procedure. You will be put to sleep. A small incision is made in your belly button. A scope is insterted thru this incision. What ever the find they will remove then. Within a couple of hours you will be able to go home. Of course you will be sore for a couple of days and brusied.
