embarrassed and frustrated

Since I've been on Spironolactone/Aldactone, my hair growth has definitely lessened. I am on a high dosage of 200mg, along with 1500mg Glucophage XR. I haven't noticed any negative effects, however, I am not trying to get pregnant at this moment. I know that Spiro can be harmful to your fetus if taken while pregnant, so you should speak to your doctor if you are TTC.

I've been hesitant to post this message for some time, but decided to post it now as from "anonymous". I have PCOS along with Endometriosis. I've been on just 1000mg of Metformin, which I understand is a low dosage for PCOS. It has helped me in some ways, but I have NOT seen a difference in the abnormal hair growth...especially on my stomach. It is extremely embarassing....I even don't like for my husband to see it. Because of a combination of ingrown hairs and tweezing, I get these ugly bumps and even little scars on my stomach. So, not only am I trying to remove the hairs, but then I always have to try to treat the scars to make them less visible. I am sooooooooo frustrated, and it has been more than a few years since the problem developed. Does anyone have any suggestions for hair removal? And for scar treatment? And should I see if the Dr. will increase the Metformin dosage?

PLEASE RESPOND!!! This has been extremely upsetting for too long. -Anonymous
