Hi, I agree with what Sally said. My understanding of the reason doctors say you don't have hypoglycemia is because you don't have the low blood sugar level ALL THE TIME. It is very rare to have this form of hypoglycemia. So, a lot of times, if you don't have this, they say you don't have hypoglycemia. Also, the textbook definition of hypoglycemia, according to what one doctor told me, has to be a level below 50. However, and I don't know why more doctors don't address this problem, there is a problem called REACTIVE hypoglycemia, and this sounds like what you have. I have it as well. You seem to only have a problem in REACTION to eating. The rapid drop in blood sugar gives you the symptoms you're having. You're blood sugar numbers sound a lot like mine. I think the suggestions Sally gave to control it are good ones. I'm still trying to experiment to find what works for me, and I'm taking 1000 mg. metformin daily. Jessica
