Glucophage and pregnancyFrom: kitty (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 24 Feb 2003 12:14:30 -0600 (CST)
It's been a long time since I last posted. The last time I was here I had just miscarried my third baby, that was in August'02.With the last two miscarriages we used clomid and glucophage to get pregnant. In all of the testing and going back and forth to the doctor I didn't realized I had missed my period until two weeks later.Needless to say I was very upset,I thought my periods were becoming irregular again. My RE just thought it was from the stress of losing another baby,so he wanted us to relax and wait for my cycle to become regular .We did for a couple weeks until I started having these pains in my lower abdomen ,being as stressed as I was I thought I was having an appendicitis attack. I went to my doctor thinking this was something serious. Well she was thinking the same thing but she wanted to rule out other possiblities. So she did blood work stat. It took about ten minutes, the longest few minute ever, for the results. My doctor comes back in and tells me that the results are positive. At this point I have no idea what she is talking about. Then she says you're pregnant!! Still I don't believe what she's telling me .I walk out of the office and get into my car and drive to the ER for a ultrasound to rule out an etopic pregnancy. It turns out that I'm actually pregnancy and the pain was from a ruptured cyst on my ovary.Less than six weeks after our last miscarriage, without using any kind fertility meds.I'm now 23 weeks pregnant with a little girl(Kensynton). She is due on June 26,2003 just one day before my "perfect" sister-in-law's baby.I say all this to give other people hope that their dreams can come true.
