I am 21 years old, and I was diagnosed with cysts on my ovaries when I was 19. I was in horrendous pain, waited 3 months for surgery, the whole spiel. THe down side was the cysts were very large, covering a good portion of both my ovaries. One cyst was 4 cm sq, the other 5cm sq. At 19 I had never really cared about having children, but after this I feel alot differently. They said they could operate and remove the cysts, the only thing was they had NO IDEA what i would be left with. 1 ovary, 2, nothing. So I went into surgery not knowing what I was going to wake up with. That is the scariest thing I have ever experienced. The good news is, the surgery went fine, and I got lucky enough to keep both my ovaries in good condition. So there is hope. Jacqueline
