Baby update

OK, so I posted about being pg, but here is the update...

DH and I went to my first actual OB appointment yesterday... we had all thought I was 3.5 to 4 weeks... guess what... I am 7 weeks as of tomorrow, and s/he is a strong lil' thumper, the heart was pounding away in there so clear and strong, it was soooo amazing. I had felt fine until the 2 days before the appointment when I began putting up that wall to protect myself, telling myself that I would not see anything because something would have gone wrong... NOPE! PERFECT! The doctor said s/he is PERFECT, showing a strong and regualr heartbeat very early, and my HCG is at the very upper end of normal, which means this is very strong and determined lil' one holding on tight! It was so amazing, I was so shocked to see anything let alone perfection, when the doctor turned the screen toward me and I saw that clear and strong beat I just started to laugh... and laugh... and laugh... it was the weirdest thing, I was sooooo giddy I could not control myself and the poor doc was still struggling to get me a picture while I shook the "scenery" with laughter...

I know it can totally suck to read pg stories when you have been ttc for what feels like forever... hopefully this will actually be comfort when I say that I was ttc for 4 years and m/c'd twice, and here I am now doing quite well (well.... "well" sounds funny with the whole morning sickness thing taking over my every waking moment! but that, too, is supposed to be a hugely positive sign! :) I think all the progesterone I take makes me mentally foggy, but I am sooooo ecstatic!
