Hello.

I was diagnosed with PCOS this past Fall but have most likely had it since the first year I had my period.

I also have the pains you have described. My periods (aided by medication) are also much more painful than anything I felt while I was able to have them on my own. When I told my doctor about this he reacted as if this was expected so I think the PCO does cause the pain. Told me to use Ibuprofen (I think it was as much as 800mg).

I once used a cream, Progesterone 900, on my period. My mother thought it would help with the pain with more of the hormone making the period happen instead of contractions. It was less painful but I think I bled more. It may have just been because I had recently started the medication.
