PCO and abdominal painFrom: Agi (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 18 Feb 2003 05:47:56 -0600 (CST)
Hi, I am 19 and have been diagnosed recently with PCO, but my gynae hardly told me anything about it really. He kind of ignored the fact that it showed up on my scans, because I don't have any of the other symptoms (eg. acne, weight gain...) I do however experience a lot of abdominal pain towards the sides of my abdomen. does PCO cause pain to anyone else? They feel like sharp stabbing pains and sometimes like the sensation you get with a stich. I think the reason this has been dismissed is because I am also being trated for endometriosis, and therefore my gynae thinks that any pain I experience is realted to this, but I'm not so sure. I haven't been properly diagnosed with endometriosis yet. It is just suspected. I am confused and feel I haven't been told anything. I have been prescribed the pill to help with the endo and some pain killers, but I constantly feel VERY tired and exhausted, with no energy and I am also constantly depressed. Is this related to PCO? Please help with your advice. Thanks, Agi
