high birth weight and PCOS

OK so this is maybe a bit pointless to post, but it interests me...Does anyone know anything about birth weight and PCOS? I know there were some studies done on low birth weight being associated with insulin resistance. The thing is I was a high birth weight - just over 9 pounds, (as was my non PCOS sister.)I am assuming that if my mother had had gestational diabetes someone would have noticed! I did see a study on both high birth weight and low birth weight being associated with IR, and one on higher levels of IGF 1 measured in higher weight newborns. (Also higher birth weight being associated with cancer.)I just wondered if it could have had an effect, or whether its not really here or there at the end of the day. Just my way of amusing myself.
