If your doctors are just looking at your weight and not listening to your complaints and symptoms, I would find another doctor. There are lots of Doctors out there who don't know much about PCOS and can be quite ignorant to it. If you don't need a referral, I would look into going to an endocrinologist. Being 230lbs over weight should be enough to have your doctor send you to a specialist, but the other symptoms you have should too!! I have dealt with the same ignorance, and am now seeing a reproductive endcrinologist. She is great and honest, and upped the med my other doctor wouldn't!! Best of luck to you!!
