There are many different generic brands for metformin and if I were you I would ask your drug store to give you a different brand. ( they are not all the same, just as in any product out there) I am on 1500 mg a day, and I can hardly even tell I take the stuff. I have a druggest who special orders this brand for me because the other one he carried made me sick. Don't be afraid to try it. good luck :))
