Abnormal BleedingFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 7 Feb 2003 21:46:25 -0600 (CST)
Help! I am so confused. I was diagnosed with PCOS 2 1/2 years ago. I have been trying to get pg for about 3 years. I have always had irregular periods -- long durations between and very hard to predict but never any trouble with spotting. About 3 weeks ago, I started spotting. It has continued so I went to the doctor yesterday. there was no explanation so blood work was ordered. Everything -- thyroid, prolactin, etc. came back normal. I am not pg. Tonight, I started bleeding heavily -- bright red blood. Could this mean that I ovulated and this is my normal period? Should I take Clomid as prescribed or wait until my next cycle (whenever that may be)? Any experiences would be appreciated.
