pituitary tumours & PCOS

I've read in numerous places that PCOS has a genetic/hereditary factor to it. My mother had some of the same medical problems that I did when she was my age, and was told there were cysts on her ovaries. This was 25 yrs ago. It was also discovered that she had a pituitary tumour, which was removed. Once it was gone, she was put on bromocriptine (usually a parkinson's med), and was pregnant within 6 months. As I'm going through all the medical problems, she looks back and can't help but notice similarities.

Does anyone know if there is a correlation between PCOS and pituitary tumours? Or is it just coincidence that the medical problems are similar?

Thanks
