Great advice!

1) Please search the PCOS, PCOS Medication, and PCOS diet archives for your answer first before asking a question. You can also review PCOSA's email lists (http://www.pcosupport.org) or Kat Carney's site (http://www.soulcysters.com) for answers. Go to search engines and look up support pages for PCOS.

2) Your chances of being answered are greater (in addition to the above) if you: a) don't use HTML in your post (its hard for digest subscribers to read, cutting out a portion of responders) b) use good grammar. If its hard to understand or follow, its harder for us to help you. c) ask specific questions and be detailed in your posts. d) help others out. Don't just take from the group, give back. Be a part of us. e) don't ask on the weekend or give at least 24 hours before you repost a question. f) wait a while for any "hot topic" discussions to cool down before reposting. g) use Netiquette when posting.

3) Don't equate no answers as a rebuff to you personally. We're all volunteers. We may have issues going on in our lives, just as you do. Please be respectful of that. Many organizations lose volunteers because they get burned out from either being required/expected or get guilt trips laid on them when they couldn't help for one reason or another. Be kind to the regulars. Several forums have had regulars stop helping or not help as much because people complain they answer all the questions or don't answer others and they get flamed for it. No one is entitled to an answer, no one is expected to give one. People give what they can and when they can. Being understanding of others and their needs is probably going to net you more understanding of you and your needs.

4) If someone doesn't answer you, then do any of the following: a) wait a couple of days and repost b) ask on another forum c) ask your doctor d) assume that maybe no one knows the answer to your question
