I had an HSG done on Tuesday morning 10am. Everything was fine except the crucial pain experienced when the doc clamped the cervix. But everything went well, and nothing was blocked. Yeah!!! I went home, had a little bit of bloody and sticky discharge, when I got home. But after I took a bath, the discharge dissappeared. No discharge on wednesday either. But I did feel a little nauseous yesterday. I broke out into a hot sweat, and was getting slight pain on my lower right side. Nothing major though. Well, this morning when I woke up, I had blood coming out of me and some minor pain and bloating. So I am currently wearing a pad. Is this a cause for concern, or just normal after a HSG? Before you answer though, let me inform you about my exact situation.(The days leading up to the HSG, since this might be the problem) Well, I have a doctor who seem to all be quacks. I have only gotten like 2 periods in a year with provera. I have been on Metformin for almost 3 months now and got my period on Jan. 15, (a very light one might I add). My doctor finally returned my call regarding seeing a fertility expert since it has been 2 years since I have been trying. She said that I would have to get a HSG done first so she gave me a referrel and the number to call and schedule an appointment. When I called it was day 3 of my cylcle, and they said they would have to get me in between days 7-10 for the procedure. However, they said that they had nothing available and I would have to call back on the 1st day of my next period. I was a little upset because I didn't know if would even get a next period, so I called my primary doctor to see if I could go somewhere else that could get me in. My doctor said that I had to go to that center but she said it was crazy that they couldn't get me in on another day. She told me to call them back in a coulpe of days and tell them that my period just started again that day(which meant keep lying until they get me in for an appointment). She said just make sure to come in for a preg test before the exam. I did this, and therefore got the appointment for tuesday. Well, going by my real cycle(period beginning on Jan. 15), the HSG was performed on day 14. And since I had no discharge after the exam, that night we did have sex because we couldn't wait any longer. So would all of this affect me and make me bleed 2 days after the procedure???
