Re: PCOS in Chicago

I am here in Chicago.

I have PCOS but the symptoms really did not manifest themselves until about two years ago when I rolled off the BCPs. (I will be 31 next month.) I have gained about 10 pounds (I am of normal weight) and am struggling with trying to conceive.

I am going to Northwestern and I have an endocrinologist and a repro endocrinologist. I find the rp that specializes in PCOS main obejective is to get me pregnant and the PCOS hormone factor is taking a back seat right now. My glucose tolerance test was normal...I am not a candidate for metformin right now.

Like you, I really was not all that concerned while I was on BCPs. Now this is running my life while trying to get pregnant.
